Founded in 1983 by Mariam Nayiny, Idem built a strong reputation for delivering certified translations with an unwavering commitment to quality, compliance, and client service. Mariam retired in May 2025 after an impressive four-decade tenure, and entrusted Powerling to carry Idem’s legacy forward.

Nancy Kellen now leads our diverse team and is charged with continuing Mariam’s legacy by maintaining our core values of People First, Uncompromised Quality and Client-Oriented Solutions. Idem remains committed to building long-term partnerships with our clients and adding value to their organizations with our industry expertise. We create these partnerships by finding fast, inexpensive, low-risk solutions to even the most intractable translation problems with the goal of making the most of your translation dollar.
Our network of professional, freelance translators spans the globe. These highly qualified linguists are specialists in their content and native speakers of the language into which they translate. Many have worked with us for decades thanks to our policies of transparency and respect.
